A Midsummer Night’s Ride

Indianapolis Shakespeare Company will perform A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Taggert Amphitheater in Riverside Park, and we’re riding our bikes there on July 22nd, 23rd and 24th. The large outdoor venue allows audience members to safely and comfortably gather for live theatre once again, even if they broke a sweat on the way over. Bike Indianapolis will provide valet bike parking sponsored by Plat Collective and MedMatch Realty! The show is free to attend, but registration is required. You can purchase VIP tickets to reserve space so you don’t have to arrive early to get a good spot. Attendees will be asked to show either digital ticket on a mobile device or printed ticket to gain entry.

Pre-show festivities start at 6pm and include food trucks, beverages, and onstage music. Feel free to bring your own picnic. Our bike trains will probably arrive around 6:30pm, giving ample time to stow your steed at the bike valet and grab a drink and a spot to sit before the show starts at 8pm. There will be a brief intermission around 9pm with the show concluding at 10pm. We will muster at the bike valet following the show and ride back en masse at 10:15pm.

Each night’s bike train starts from a different part of the city. Thursday we ride from Bottleworks on Mass Ave, Friday we ride from Hinkle in Broad Ripple, and Saturday we ride from the original location of Indy Shakes in White River State Park. Registration pages have more details about where to meet, and route maps will be published the week of the event.

Register to ride by clicking the images below! You’ll find a link on the Eventbrite page to get free tickets to the play, as well.
